It is very important to understand the quality of the water you are using. Unfortunately most of us live in a hard water area where the water is packed with nasties such as lead, arsenic, cyanide etc that plants struggle to cope with. The answer to this is a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. These systems basically strip the water bare with each filter having its own function. The water that comes out of the RO System is pure water. And has an EC and 0 and a reduced pH due to the fact all the calcium has been removed thus needing less acid to get the pH to the desired level.

So take a reading of your tap water and if it has an EC of 4 or more or a pH level of 7.5 or more it is worth considering buying a Reserve Osmosis System.
